Compassion drives us to serve the Lord among the incarcerated. Jesus had compassion on the lost and the Spirit compels us, too. Fifty one percent of people now in federal prisons are there directly or indirectly because of drugs. Drugs are the devils lie; they cripple simple souls. Drug use promotes a welfare based society. People need the Lord. We have a God who cares and cures!

2007 Prison Fellowship reports that the USA has a 6.2 billion dollar problem with 2.2 million prisoners. Two thirds of all parolees will return to prison within 3 years after release. One in 32 Americans are entangled in the criminal justice system either behind locked doors or on parole. In the next 5 years the problem will grow to 2.6 million Americans. Pray for High Desert Ministries of California. Under God and with His help we expect to make a difference in the lives of men and women who desperately need Christ.
