HDPM has Bible classes in four Prison facilities

Federal Correctional Complex is a facility with 4 separate prisons of some 5000 inmates. HDPM haws a Bible class in the number 2 facility on Wednesday evening. From this facility we get the lion’s share of Spanish oriented correspondence students. Some of these men profess faith in Christ. There is a Wednesday evening Bible class in this facility. We value your prayers for each of these teaching opportunities.

Desert View Correctional Facility is a medium security facility. It has just over 600 men on the way out of the system. There is a group that meets Monday evening in the facility for singing, prayer, Bible reading and fellowship. John Miller and Roger Hendricks meet with this group on Monday evenings.

The San Bernardino Juvenile Hall now has a Bible class on Wednesday evenings taught by Dave Welch. This facility is new for HDPM in 2009. There are a number of facilities for underage kids in Southern California. Drugs, Gangs and Immorality rage among these.

People need the Lord! We plant and water, God gives the increase!

The Correspondence department of HDPM has four instructors presently. The area that corrections are done was upgraded in 2009. God’s people provide through gifts and offerings that are tax deductible for the facility, heat and lights, ECS Bible Correspondences, postage (our biggest expense) and for some instructors gas moneys. Courses are sent free to inmates. The enrollment continues to grow and we supply inmates with studies in several states now. The Correspondence Department Instructors are a dedicated lot of people. They go through an extensive training program. These people believe they are called of the Lord to do this work to help others find Christ and become good citizens of America.

Pray that the Word of God will go forth in power and with the demonstration of the Spirit. It is exciting to read and find men who do business with God!
