Does not the Bible make Christianity pragmatic? The meaning of this is that we do something about the severe problem among mankind. Sin in man’s eyes often has degrees of evil associated with it. God sees it differently we find in His Word and He is no respecter of persons. Sin is sin. Sin has effect when committed on all levels from mere lying and gossip to mere sexual and violent manners of life. The redeemed host must reach out to these people degraded to darkness. It is one thing to raise children in your home to fear the Lord. If they in self will fall amuck to the darkness of this world that is one thing. But for those who never had a chance to escape the pain of a sinful life the message is liberating and profound. Did you ever hear the old hymn that began in the first line, “Seeking the lost, yes kindly entreating, wanders on the mountain astray...” To partner with God in such as this is a ministry of reconciliation and reveals the goodness of an almighty God.
