The High Desert Ministries Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be inspired and the infallible authoritative Word of God. God uses His Word to bring men to Faith in Christ and to further equip His people as servants in His Kingdom.
We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that salvation is a miracle of God. The Holy Spirit seals and guarantees the life and future of the person who confesses his sin and receives Christ as Savior. Each true believer will be obedient and follow on to know the Lord. Salvation is not achieved as a work righteousness by any man. Sinners are saved by grace alone.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that salvation is a work of God.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by indwelling the true believer. The Holy Spirit enables the possibility of a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. We believe that there are those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe that Jesus called Disciples and He desires that all Christians should obediently go as they are led of God to make disciples of those they can.
.We believe that every disciple will continue to advance in a walk with God through the study of the Word and obedience to God’s revealed will of God for himself. Those who live in such a way know the pleasure and fulfillment of a life worth living now and for eternity.
We believe that every Christian should be convicted that homosexuality is the sin of spiritual reprobates, Romans 1. Also that any Christian should seek divine help to void the sins of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:16 to 21 and seek divine help to have the fruit of the Spirit functional in His life, Galatians 5:22-26.
We believe in the premillennial and future return of Jesus Christ and that after the tribulation Christ will return to earth and reign from Jerusalem for 1000 years.
