Opportunities to Serve the Lord with HDPM

Being Qualified in the Correctional Facility: What does it take to get started as a prison team player. There are necessary steps to become qualified to enter a correctional facility. 1. You will have to fill our an application for the prison that you will teach the Word in. 2. From this application the prison will approve or deny you a part as a volunteer in their facility. 3. You will need to have a prison orientation so you will be familiar with prison protocol. This will take a couple of hours at the facility. 4. Then you will need to get a mug shot, finger printed and finally get that volunteer badge issued to you. All this will take several months. Most of your time will be waiting for the next step. But be patient your efforts for Christ in all this is extremely rewarding and eternally profitable.

• Willingness to be faithful as a team member
• A growing knowledge of God’s Word
• Ability to communicate personally with other people.

We need qualified Leaders: We are looking for one more man who will be long term elder/board member. You must meet the qualifications of I Tim. 3 for an overseer. Note that in I Peter 5 that the elder is a shepherd and the shepherd is an overseer. These kind of godly people will be the board of directors for HDPM or (High Desert Ministries of California).

Correspondence Instructors: We are looking for people right now who will be involved in correcting Bible Correspondence Courses. There is no contact with people in prisons for instructors. These individuals will work with people in prison. You will get hands on training for this work ministry and have a period of time to become oriented to this work. You should have good hand writing skills and be able to organize your thoughts on paper. Family Services: We are looking for people who are being called of God to serve Christ in helping families. This ministry will have unlimited opportunities. Ask for more info!

HDPM Membership:   To become a team player you must fill out an application to join High Desert Prison Ministries. You can become an associate member or a ministry member. The associate membership is helper oriented. The ministry application is for a ministry position.
